Character development is an important part of the Scouting program. The development of a person's character involves three major areas: thinking, feeling, and behavior - in other words, to know, to commit, and to practice. Cub Scouting emphasizes the relationships of the head, the heart, and the hand to 12 core values and calls them Character Connections.
